With an original score by horror legend John Carpenter, Death of a Unicorn is a new A24 black comedy film starring Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega as father-daughter, who accidentally crash into a unicorn with their car on their way to a weekend retreat.

In addition to Rudd and Ortega, Death of a Unicorn stars Will Poulter, Téa Leoni, and Richard E. Grant.

Release Date

Directed by Alex Scharfman, Death of a Unicorn opens in US theaters in Spring 2025.

Synopsis

A father (Paul Rudd) and daughter (Jenna Ortega) accidentally hit and kill a unicorn while en route to a weekend retreat, where his billionaire boss (Richard E. Grant) seeks to exploit the creature’s miraculous curative properties.
