Anora won an impressive 6 awards including Best Film at the Philadelphia Film Critics Circle 7th year-end awards, along with Best Director for Sean Baker, Best Actress and Best Breakthrough Performance for Mikey Madison and Best Ensemble.
Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist won 2 awards including Best Actor for Adrien Brody and Coralie Fargeat ‘s The Substance also won 2 including the Circle’s Elaine May Award, for a deserving person or film that brings awareness to a story from a woman’s perspective, along with Best Supporting Actress for Margaret Qualley.
Other winners included Kieran Culkin for Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain; Vera Drew for Best Directorial Debut for The People’s Joker, Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story won for Best Documentary, Memoir of a Snail won for Best Animated Film and All We Imagine as Light won for Best Animated Film.
