Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist leads the nominations for the 2024 Austin Film Critics Association (AFCA) with 10, including Best Director, Best Picture, Best Score, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and a host of acting categories.

Sean Baker’s Anora and Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance followed closely with 7 nominations each including Best Director, Best Picture and Best Actress.

The AFCA will announce the 2024 award winners, including the Austin Film Award and any special awards, on Monday, January 6th, 2025.

The winners, as voted by our membership, will be unveiled on January 6th.
