Filmmaker Maren Ade will preside over the short films and La Cinef Jury of the 78th Cannes Film Festival taking place from May 13 to May 24, 2025. The jury also includes director, screenwriter and producer Reinaldo Marcus Green, actress, singer and songwriter Camélia Jordana, producer, photographer and former Director of the Filmoteca Española José María Prado and director and screenwriter Nebojša Slijepčević.
11 shorts will be presented this year in the Short Films Competition, including 9 fiction short films and 2 animated short films; and 16 films in La Cinef Competition including 13 live-action and 3 animated films.
