‘One Battle After Another’ and ‘Sinners’ Top Phoenix Film Critic’s Society Awards

Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another continued its winning streak, walking away with 8 wins including Best Picture at the Phoenix Film Critic’s Society’s 2025 awards.

“One battle that film certainly won was for the hearts of minds of the PFCS membership,” said PFCS President Gayle Bass. “Between audacious filmmaking and unforgettable acting, ‘One Battle’ stood out even among this year’s very good crop of films.”

Ryan Coogler’s Sinners followed with with 6 wins incuding Best Ensemble Acting

Other top film wins went to Geeta Gandbhir’s The Perfect Neighbor for Best Documentary and Park Chan-wook’s No Other Choice won for Best Foreign Language Film.

This year PFCS honored Stephen King adaptation The Life of Chuck with the Overlooked Film of the Year award, given to a film they feel didn’t get the audiences it deserved.
