Ryan Coogler’s vampire thriller Sinners was named Best Picture by the Pittsburgh Film Critics Association.

The film won 11 awards including Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Coogler, along with Breakthrough Performance for Miles Caton.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another finished in second place for Best Picture and walked away with one win for Best Adapted Screenplay for Anderson.

Rose Byrne won Best Lead Actor for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, and Amy Madigan earned Best Supporting Actor for her turn in Zach Cregger’s Weapons. (The PFCA chose to not give out gender-specific acting awards.)

This year’s Good Neighbor Award—given annually to films that reflect the values and ideals of the Pittsburgh community—went to Jafar Panahi’s political thriller It Was Just an Accident. Made without the approval of Iranian authorities, it was realized through a co-production between Iran, France and Luxembourg.

“The Pittsburgh Film Critics Association is proud to once again be honoring our favorite movies from the past year,” says the PFCA board. “We continue to champion the power of film and film criticism throughout the Pittsburgh region. Congratulations to all our 2025 PFCA Awards winners!”
