The life and legacy of Brunello Cucinelli, the Italian creative director, founder, and executive chairman of the Brunello Cucinelli brand, is chronicled in the documentary Brunello: The Gracious Visionary.
Directed by Academy Award-winning Italian auteur Giuseppe Tornatore (Cinema Paradiso, Ennio), it will be released in theaters in the US on July 24, 2026, by Blue Fox Entertainment.
Featuring a score by Academy Award-winning composer Nicola Piovani (Life is Beautiful), Brunello: The Gracious Visionary is an inside look at the extraordinary life and career of the man behind a luxury fashion empire built on the principles of humanity and artistry. Having grown up in a rural agricultural community, Brunello began his eponymous company in 1978 and soon became dubbed “The King of Cashmere”.
The documentary film presents an intimate portrait of Brunello Cucinelli, a “philosopher-designer” revered for his distinctive integration of humanistic values, craftsmanship, and ethical entrepreneurship.

The film is produced by Brunello Cucinelli S.p.A. and MasiFilm in collaboration with Rai Cinema, and was released by 01 Distribution in Italy following a star-studded December 9 premiere, where it launched to box office success in its home territory. Brunello: The Gracious Visionary will have a gala screening in New York City this month. Twenty-Nine Palms Entertainment is handling international sales on the film.
