In Onslaught, directed by Adam Wingard, an Army sniper battles against an escaped group of genetically engineered super soldiers in the desert to keep her daughter safe.
The film stars Adria Arjona, Dan Stevens, Eric Wareheim, Reginald VelJohnson, Michael Biehn, Alex Pereira, Drew Starkey, and Rebecca Hall.
Onslaught opens in U.S. theaters on September 4, 2026.
The film follows a former Army sniper living a quiet life with her daughter in the desert, who is forced back into action when a rogue group of genetically engineered super soldiers breaks out from a nearby secret military facility. As the soldiers unleash chaos, she must use her combat skills to protect her family, while mercenaries work to neutralize the soldiers and cover the military’s tracks.
Dan Stevens, in an interview with Indie Wire, said, “Ultimately, it’s Adam Wingard back on form, returning to a batshit action-thriller in the desert, which is where I first met him and fell in love with him.” He adds praise for his co-star, “This time, Adria Arjona, who is incredible, is our lead and has done an amazing job. People are going to really enjoy what she’s brought to that movie, I won’t say any more than that. But my contribution is, typically, bonkers.”
