Directed by Georgia Bernstein, making her feature directorial debut, Night Nurse is slated to be released in select theatres on July 10th, 2026.

Here is the synopsis: At the start of her new job in a luxury retirement community, Eleni (Cemre Paksoy) is drawn into a series of scam calls targeting the elderly residents, a pull she can’t quite name or resist. As the community’s strange rhythms close around her, she grows increasingly intimate with her elusive patient, Douglas (Bruce McKenzie).
Bernstein said in a statement, “One night, years ago, my grandmother received a phone call from someone who sounded exactly like my brother. He told her he’d been in a terrible accident. That he was in danger and needed her help. She was already in her mid-nineties by then, but the call sparked something in her—enough to get her out of the house and to the bank, where a teller stopped her from wiring any money. He told her they saw this kind of thing all the time. It was a scam.”
She continued, ” I was still thinking about the strange achievement of this performance—the man pretending to be my brother—when I wrote NIGHT NURSE, a story about a young nurse who becomes entangled in a perverse mutation of the classic grandparent-scam.”
