Forget everything you know about happily ever after. László Illés’ Ever After turns familiar fairy tale characters into bloodthirsty killers in a dark fantasy horror story about a group of friends whose bachelorette weekend becomes a fight for survival.
The film stars Mark Sheppard (“Supernatural”), Bonnie Aarons (The Nun), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes), Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th), and Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange), with the latter two lending their voices to the Big Bad Wolf and Frog King, respectively.
Ever After is slated to open in U.S. theaters on September 4, 2026, through Level 33 Entertainment, followed by an On Demand release October 27, 2026.
From writer/director Laszlo Illes (Haunting Trophies, The Shepard), the film follows a group of friends on a bachelorette weekend at a remote forest lodge that quickly spirals into terror when they discover the surrounding woods are inhabited by violent fanatics who believe they are living out the roles of fairy tale heroes and villains.
As night falls, familiar figures like Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, the Evil Witch, and Prince Charming emerge from the darkness — but nothing about them is familiar anymore. What follows is a relentless fight for survival where every storybook ending is rewritten in blood.
