The European Film Academy revealed the five films nominated in the European Short Film category. Vimeo will serve as the exclusive title sponsor of the European Short Film category, now renamed to “European Short Film – Prix Vimeo”.
The category European Short Film – Prix Vimeo is organized by the European Film Academy in co-operation with a series of film festivals across Europe. At each of these festivals, an independent jury presented one of the European short films in competition with a candidacy. Out of the complete list of 28 candidates, the participating festivals nominated five films for the European Film Awards.
The films nominated in the category “European Short Film – Prix Vimeo” are:
2720 directed by Basil da Cunha (Portugal, Switzerland)
CLAMOR directed by Salomé Da Souza (France)
THE EXPLODING GIRL directed by Caroline Poggi and Jonathan Vinel (France)

Nominations in the categories “European Film”, “European Director”, “European Actress”, “European Actor”, “European Screenwriter”, “European Documentary” and “European Discovery – Prix FIPRESCI” will be announced on November 5, 2024. The members of the European Film Academy will vote for the winners who will be announced on December 7, 2024 in Lucerne.
