Film Movement released the official trailer for the polish film Corpus Christi (Boże Ciało) directed by Jan Komasa that has been shortlisted in consideration for an Oscar in the International Feature Film category at the 92nd Academy Awards. Magnolia released the official trailer for the indie dark comedy film Buffaloed starring Zoey Deutch that premiered at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival. Directed by Tanya Wexler, the film also stars Judy Greer, Jai Courtney, Noah Reid, and Jermaine Fowler. Buffaloed will open in select theaters on February 14th, 2020.

ArtMattan Films acquired the award winning drama Made In Bangladesh by Rubaiyat Hossain, based on the life of Daliya Akter, a garment worker who escaped child marriage and went on to lead a trade union fighting for workers’ rights in Bangladesh capital, Dhaka.

“Come to daddy!” A new official trailer debuted today for the indie film Come To Daddy starring Elijah Wood as a man in his thirties who travels to a remote cabin to reconnect with his estranged father. Directed by Ant Timpson making his feature directorial debut, the film also stars Stephen McHattie, Martin Donovan, Michael Smiley, Madeleine Sami, and Simon Chin. Come To Daddy which premiered at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival will open in select US theaters and on VOD starting February 7th, 2020.

The American Black Film Festival (ABFF) Honors announced the nominees for its “Movie of the Year” award. The ABFF Honors’ “Movie of theYear” award is a competitive award presented to the best feature-length film of the year directed by and/or starring a lead actor or actress of African descent.

The Oklahoma Film Critics Circles (OFCC) voted “Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood” as the Best Picture of 2019. Honors for Best Documentary went to “American Factory,” Best Foreign Language Film went to “Parasite” and Best First Feature went to Joe Talbot’s “The Black Man in San Francisco.”
