The Brazilian Oscar entry I’m Still Here won the FIPRESCI Prize for Best International Feature Film at the 36th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF). Directed by Walter Salles, the film stars Fernanda Torres and Fernanda Montenegro as Eunice Paiva, a mother of five children coping with the forced disappearance of her husband, the dissident politician Rubens Paiva, during the military dictatorship in Brazil in the 1970s.

The documentary No Other Land made by a collective of Palestinian and Israeli filmmakers won three awards, including the top prize for Outstanding Nonfiction Filmmaking at Cinema Eye Honors 2025 Awards.

The South Korean horror film Exhuma leads the nominations for the 18th Asian Film Awards in 11 categories including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Newcomer, Best Screenplay, Best Original Music, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, Best Visual Effects, and Best Sound.
