
CPH:DOX (Copenhagen International Documentary Festival) revealed the films competing for the festival’s six awards at the the 22nd edition taking place from March 19-30, 2025.

Andrew Haigh’s All of Us Strangers starring Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, Jamie Bell, and Claire Foy won both Film of the Year and LGBTQ Film of the Year at the 2024 Dorian Film Awards. The film also won LGBTQ Screenplay of the Year for Andrew Haigh.

Fresh off the world premiere in Next at Sundance Film Festival, Oscilloscope Laboratories has acquired OBEX, the black-and-white fantasy film from filmmaker Albert Birney (Strawberry Mansion), also starring Birney. The film marks the first solo, live-action directorial effort for Birney, who also wrote the script with Pete Ohs (Jethica, upcoming SXSW world premiere The True Beauty of Being Bitten by a Tick).

Shot in 1999, but never released, Milestone Films and Kino Lorber will finally release the new 4K restoration of the long-lost comedy film, The Annihilation of Fish, starring James Earl Jones, Lynn Redgrave, and Margot Kidder.

Magnet Releasing revealed the official trailer for Sister Midnight, the Mumbai-set oddball comedy horror film starring Radhika Apte as a woman who is trapped in an unhappy arranged marriage.

A24 revealed the official trailer for Friendship, a “laugh-until-you-cry nightmare comedy about male bonding gone awry” starring Tim Robinson, Kate Mara, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Paul Rudd.

Music Box Films debuted the official trailer for Eephus, a sports-comedy-drama film from debuting director Carson Lund. The film starring Keith William Richards, Frederick Wiseman, Cliff Blake, Ray Hryb, and Bill “Spaceman” Lee, tells the story of two amateur baseball teams coming together for one final game before their field is demolished to make way for a new school.
