Rosemead from Eric Lin won Best Narrative Award and The Librarians directed by Kim A. Snyder took home the prize for Best Documentary Award at the 2025 Bentonville Film Festival. The 11th anniversary of the festival ran from June 16-22 in Bentonville, AR.

The 2025 Bentonville Film Festival (BFF) set for June 16-22, 2025, Bentonville, Arkansas unveiled the narrative, documentary, homegrown, short film, and episodic selections. This year’s festival will showcase 28 feature competition films, including 9 World Premieres, with a newly launched Homegrown Competition highlighting stories from filmmakers based in or filming in Arkansas.

Bentonville Film Festival announced the jury prize winners for their 8th annual Festival with Alika Tengan’s Every Day in Kaimuki awarded Best Narrative Feature and Gretchen Stoeltje’s Shouting Down Midnight took home the jury award for Best Documentary Feature. Other awards went to Georgia, by Jayil Pak for Best Short Film and Chiqui, by Carlos Cardona, won for Best Episodic.

Bentonville Film Festival unveiled the special presentations lineup, including panels, events and awards for the upcoming 8th annual edition, including the Rising to the Challenge Award for Effie Brown and the Rising Star Award for Fin Argus.

Bentonville Film Festival, produced by the BFFoundation and chaired by Academy Award-winning Actor Geena Davis, will take place in-person June 22-26 and virtually June 22-July 3. The Festival unveiled their Competition Jury composed of award-winning producers, directors, actors and authors, including actor Yolonda Ross, film and television producer Bird Runningwater, actor Shohreh Aghdashloo, writer and filmmaker Justine Bateman, among others.

Kili Big directed by Ida Joglar which world premiered at the 2021 Bentonville Film Festival was awarded Best Documentary at the festival. The film follows a group of plus-sized women from around the world as they attempt to climb the tallest peak in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. Roshan Sethi’s 7 Days, about an Indian couple on an arranged marriage date forced to quarantine together, took home the jury award for Best Narrative Feature and Americanized, by Erica Eng, was selected for Best Short Film.
