New York Film Festival unveiled the films in the Spotlight section for the upcoming 61st edition of the festival taking place September 29 – October 15, 2023. World premieres in the Spotlight section are Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie’s genre-defying series The Curse starring Emma Stone; and Garth Davis’s superbly rendered science-fiction drama Foe, starring Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal.

Bradley Cooper’s Maestro will make its North American premiere as the Spotlight Gala of the 61st New York Film Festival at David Geffen Hall on October 2.

Films from Jonathan Glazer, Andrew Haigh, Ryûsuke Hamaguchi, Todd Haynes, Agnieszka Holland, Hong Sangsoo, Raven Jackson, Radu Jude, Yorgos Lanthimos, Michael Mann, Martín Rejtman, Alice Rohrwacher, Justine Triet, Wang Bing, Wim Wenders, and Zhang Lu are among 32 feature films that comprise the Main Slate of the 61st New York Film Festival (NYFF), taking place September 29–October 15 at Lincoln Center.

Michael Mann’s Ferrari will make its North American premiere as the Closing Night film of the 61st New York Film Festival, making its North American premiere on October 13 at Alice Tully Hall.

Film at Lincoln Center has set Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla as the Centerpiece selection for the 61st New York Film Festival, making its North American premiere at Alice Tully Hall on October 6. Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi star as Priscilla and Elvis.

Todd Haynes’s May December will make its North American premiere as the Opening Night film of the 61st New York Film Festival taking place September 29 – October 15, 2023.

Film at Lincoln Center unveiled the official posters of the 60th New York Film Festival by photographer Nan Goldin, subject of this year’s Centerpiece film All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, which debuts October 7 at Alice Tully Hall. In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the festival, Goldin has designed two limited edition posters to commemorate this year’s milestone.

The Currents slate for the 60th New York Film Festival includes 15 features and 44 short films, representing 23 countries, a diverse offering of short and feature-length productions by filmmakers and artists working at the vanguard of the medium.
