
The India Film Festival of Alberta (IFFA) announced the program for the eighth edition of the festival, taking place this fall across Alberta and nationwide.

Last year it was about sex, and this year’s Zurich Film Festival hashtag section screens films under the title #MyReligion dealing with questions of faith, euphoria and modern deities. The “Hashtag” section showcases a hot topic that is also trending on social media.

The 13th annual DTLA Film Festival, which is set to run from September 14th – 18th at Regal L.A. LIVE, announced its full lineup of 112 titles including 36 features and 76 short films.

The Currents slate for the 60th New York Film Festival includes 15 features and 44 short films, representing 23 countries, a diverse offering of short and feature-length productions by filmmakers and artists working at the vanguard of the medium.

Casey Nelson and Marchelle Thurman’s Black, White and the Greys led the winners of the 6th edition of Festival of Cinema NYC filmmaker awards, taking both the Best Feature Film Narrative as well as the Audience Choice for Best Feature Film. Top individual awards went to Cory Choy (Esme, My Love) for Best Director, Nate Washburn (Behind the Wall) for Breakthrough Male Performance; and Nicole Stuart (40ish…) for Breakthrough Female Performance.
