The 53rd Nashville Film Festival will open with The Return of Tanya Tucker the moving new documentary by Kathlyn Horan chronicling the collaboration between Brandi Carlile, Shooter Jennings and Tanya Tucker for the latter’s triumphant return to the stage.

The 56th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will open with Superheroes directed by Paolo Genovese and close with Three Thousand Years of Longing directed by George Miller. This year’s edition of Karlovy Vary IFF will pay tribute to Jérôme Paillard, the long-time executive director of Marché du Film. and a 1993 film The Flood produced by Paillard will be screened as a part of the tribute.

The 2022 Asian Film Festival of Dallas (AFFD) announced the lineup of 16 feature films (12 Narrative, 4 Documentary), and 11 short films for the 21st edition of the film festival taking place July 21-24, 2022. The 2022 American Black Film Festival announced the Best of the ABFF Awards winners, with Our Father, the Devil winning the jury prize for Best Narrative Feature along with the John Singleton Award – Best First Feature for director, Ellie Foumbi; and A Woman on the Outside won the jury prize for Best Documentary Feature.
