Indy Shorts Film Festival 2022 Winners – ‘Black Slide’, ‘Ousmane’, ‘Stranger at the Gate’ Win Grand Prizes
Award winners of 2022 Indy Shorts International Film Festival (Indy Shorts) The 2022 Indy Shorts International Film Festival (Indy Shorts) presented by Heartland Film announced its award winners. The Grand Prize for Narrative Short went to “Ousmane” directed by by Jorge Camarotti; the Grand Prize for Documentary Short went to “Stranger at the Gate” by Joshua Seftel and the Grand Prize for Animated Short went to “Black Slide” by by Uri Lotan. The Festival’s three Grand Prize-winning films will receive Academy Award® qualification in their respective categories and $5,000 in cash prizes.

22nd Whitaker STL Filmmakers Showcase Announces Winning Films and Filmmakers
All Gone Wrong by Josh Guffey The 22nd Whitaker St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase, an annual presentation of the nonprofit Cinema St. Louis (CSL), serving as the area’s primary venue for films made by local artists, announced the winning films and filmmakers. The Showcase screened works that were shot in the St. Louis region or were written, directed, or produced by St. Louis-area residents or by filmmakers with strong local ties who are now working elsewhere. The Showcase’s 14 film programs ranged from narrative and documentary features to multi-film compilations of fiction, experimental, and documentary shorts.
