    Dance Films Association and Film at Lincoln Center announced today the complete lineup for the 50th edition of the Dance on Camera Festival, running February 11-14, 2022. The 50th Dance on Camera Festival will be presented in person at the Walter Reade Theater at Film at Lincoln Center, marking the festival’s return to fully in-person programming. The longest-running dance film festival in the world received submissions from more than 37 countries, and it will feature nine ticketed programs and over 32 films during the four-day festival.

    Sundance Institute announced the members of the six juries awarding prizes for artistic and cinematic achievement at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. Also announced was the jury for the Alfred P. Sloan Film Prize.The Festival takes place January 20-30 via our enhanced online platform at Festival.Sundance.org and in person at seven Satellite Screens venues around the country during the Festival’s second weekend.

    International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) revealed the 14 films selected for the festival’s Tiger Competition, as well as the Big Screen Competition and Ammodo Tiger Short Competition selections.     Krakow Film Festival announced that Finnish documentary filmmaker Jarmo Jääskeläinen died on 2 January 2022. He was 84 years old. He was to receive the most valuable statuette Dragon of Dragons of the Krakow Film Festival in May for his contribution to global documentary cinema.

    Ferroequinology, literally meaning the study of iron horses, is a feature-length documentary with luminous black and white cinematography, directed by Alex Nevill about the passion and artistry of railroad photography. Having made its World Premiere at Chichester Film Festival (UK) in August 2021, Ferroequinology comes Stateside for its North American Premiere at 2022 Slamdance Film Festival. The film will screen virtually from January 27-Feburary 6, 2022.
