‘Nobody’s Hero’ Opens Berlin Film Festival 2022 Panorama Program
Renaud Rutten, Jean-Charles Clichet, Philippe Fretun, Iliès Kadri, Farida Rahouadj in Viens je t’emmène | Nobody’s Hero by Alain Guiraudie FRA 2022, Panorama © CG Cinema Viens je t’emmène (Nobody’s Hero) by Alain Guiraudie will open the Panorama 2022 program of the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival. A total of 29 films from 33 countries are confirmed for this year’s program, including ew films by Isabelle Stever, Guðmundur Arnar Guðmundsson and Alejandra Márquez Abella. Elliot Page has joined the Italian film Nel mio nome (Into My Name) as executive producer and there is a documentary focus on Sub-Saharan Africa with three films.

Berlin International Film Festival 2022 Confirms More Films in Forum and Berlinale Classics

The Forum Special program includes 27 feature-length works in the main program, 14 feature-length works and shorts in the Forum Special program; and Berlinale Classics will present seven world premieres of classic films in digitally restored versions. The Berlinale Classics section opens with Mamma Roma on February 11, and the silent film Brüder (Brothers) with a live music concert will premiere on February 13.

27th STL Jewish Film Fest Goes Virtual in the Spring with 13 Compelling Films
Greener Pastures directed by Matan Guggenheim, Assaf Abiri The 27th annual St. Louis Jewish Film Festival will be held virtually this spring, March 6 – 13, presenting a selection of documentary and feature films from around the world. While all films depict a piece of the Jewish experience, the themes are universal and are meant to appeal to all, regardless of faith. In addition to 13 compelling films, the Festival offers discussions with filmmakers and others associated with the films.

Executive produced by Natasha Lyonne and Maya Rudolph (Animal Pictures), among others, Sirens follows the Middle East’s first all-female metal band as they wrestle with friendship, sexuality and destruction in their pursuit of becoming thrash metal rock stars. The film will be shown as part of the festival’s World Cinema Documentary Competition.

2022 Sundance Film Festival Announces FREE ‘Beyond Film’ Line-Up
Sundance Film Festival The 2022 Sundance Film Festival announced the Beyond Film lineup produced by the Festival, all of which are free to the public. These thought provoking and entertaining talks and events will include three conversation series (Power of Story, Cinema Cafe, and The Big Conversation) and more.
