Focus Features dropped the official trailer for Eliza Hittman’s latest film Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Always, which is set to premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. The film stars Sidney Flanigan, Talia Ryder, Théodore Pellerin, Ryan Eggold, and Sharon Van Etten. Never Rarely Sometimes Always opens in select theaters on March 13th, 2020.

Slamdance Film Festival will open with world premiere of Lynne Sachs’ Film About a Father Who. Over a period of 35 years between 1984 and 2019, filmmaker Lynne Sachs shot 8 and 16mm film, videotape and digital images of her father, Ira Sachs Sr., a bon vivant and pioneering businessman from Park City, Utah. The 26th edition of the festival will take place January 24 to 30, 2020 in Park City, Utah.
The 2020 Berlinale which marks the 70th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival unveiled the festival poster which shines a light on the 70th anniversary. The anniversary festival which runs February 20 to March 01, 2020, will also be the first festival headed by director duo Mariette Rissenbeek (Executive Director) and Carlo Chatrian (Artistic Director).

International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) revealed the full film lineup of 2020, including the 10 films selected for the Tiger Competition. Also revealed: the selections of the Big Screen Competition and the revamped Bright Future Competition, the 2020 opening and closing films, the fifth theme program Ordinary Heroes and a special screening of David Cronenberg’s Crash (1996) with a live musical score by the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.

The 70th Berlin Film Festival is fast approaching and sections – Perspektive Deutsches Kino, Panorama, Generation, Forum Expanded announced the first films and projects.
Three feature films – The Social Dilemma along with Born into Brothels and High Art from The Collection Films have been added to the 2020 Sundance Film Festival’s robust slate of independent films. Additionally the Festival announced that previously-announced Special Event, Love Fraud, will screen on Day One of the Festival. The Festival will take place in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort January 23 to February 2, 2020.

Sony Pictures Classics will release “Charm City Kings,” a new film by Angel Manuel Soto, that is set to world premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. Following the Sundance premiere, Sony Pictures Classics will release the film in select theaters on April 10, 2020, followed by a wide release on April 17, 2020.
Mosquito directed by João Nuno Pinto will open the 49th International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR 2020). A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood by Marielle Heller will be the closing night film of IFFR 2020.
