On Becoming a Guinea Fowl, the second directorial work by Rungano Nyoni won the Golden Eye award in the Feature Film Competition at the 20th Zurich Film Festival. Black Box Diaries by Shiori Itō won he Golden Eye award in the Documentary Competition along with Audience Award.

The horror-thriller film Please Don’t Feed The Children, the feature film directorial debut of Destry Allyn Spielberg, daughter of Steven Spielberg, will world premiere at the Sitges International Film Festival (the 57th Annual Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantastic de Catalunya), on Friday, October 11, 2024.

Thesis on a Domestication (Tesis sobre una domesticación) by award-winning writer-director Javier Van de Couter and based on the homonymous novel written and adapted by the film’s lead, acclaimed Argentine trans author Camila Sosa Villada, will world premiere at the 60th Chicago International Film Festival.

In a three-city presentation, this year’s 25th Anniversary edition of Sound Unseen Film + Music Festival will take place November 13-17 in Minneapolis, December 5-8 in Rochester, and December 12-14, 2024 in Austin.
