OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival Miami will open its 24th edition with the first Florida live screening of B-Boy Blues at The Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater on April 22 at 7 p.m.

Heymann Brothers Films will release Jonathan Agassi Saved My Life, a new documentary film about Israeli porn star Jonathan Agassi by filmmaker Tomer Heymann (“Mr. Gaga”). Winner of the Ophir Prize (Israeli Oscar) for Best Documentary, Jonathan Agassi Saved My Life screened at numerous international and LGBTQ film festivals including IDFA, Newfest and Outfest. The reedited version of the film will open theatrically at the Village East by Angelika in New York on May 13, and at Laemmle Theaters in Los Angeles on May 20th. Other cities will follow.

The film is Ehlen’s fifth feature and first dramedy, her prior films most notably being the first lesbian comedy trilogy – Butch Jamie, Heterosexual Jill, and S&M Sally. Maybe Someday stars Ehlen along with Shaela Cook from Heterosexual Jill and S&M Sally, and Charlie Steers.

The captivating SXSW breakout LGBTQ drama See You Then tackles complex issues of gender identity, gender expression and transgender acceptance. The film follows Kris, who, a decade after abruptly breaking up with Naomi, invites her to dinner to catch-up on their complicated lives, relationships, and Kris’ transition.

Breaking Glass Pictures released the official trailer for Jump,Darling, the LGBTQ+ family drama starring Oscar and BAFTA award-winning actress Cloris Leachman, who passed away in January, 2021 at the age of 94. The film opens in select theaters on March 18 and on DVD, digital on March 29.

The festival will close with Tramps!, directed by documentary filmmaker Kevin Hegge, whose previous film She Said Boom: The Story of Fifth Column screened at BFI Flare in 2013.
