IFC Films dropped the trailer for The Vigil, a horror film set over the course of a single evening in Brooklyn’s Hasidic Borough Park neighborhood. Directed by Keith Thomas, and starring Dave Davis, Menashe Lustig and Lynn Cohen, The Vigil opens in select theaters, on digital platforms and VOD on February 26th.
Azazel Jacobs’s FRENCH EXIT starring Michelle Pfeiffer
Sony Pictures Classics released the trailer for Azazel Jacobs’ French Exit starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Lucas Hedges. The film which made its world premiere as the Closing Night feature at the 2020 New York Film Festival, will be released in theaters on February 12, 2021.
Roadside Attractions released the trailer for Pinocchio, director Matteo Garrone’s live-action imagining of the iconic classic. Pinocchio premiered at the 2020 Berlin International Film Festival and stars Roberto Benigni, Federico Ielapi, Rocco Papaleo, Massimo Ceccherini. Roadside Attractions will release the film in theaters on December 25th, Christmas Day.
Quiver Distribution released the trailer for Falling, the feature film directorial debut of actor Viggo Mortensen that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. The film will open in select US theaters and on VOD on February 5th, 2021.
Check out a new clip from the Iranian drama Yalda, a Night for Forgiveness set to premiere via virtual cinema on December 11, 2020. Yalda, a Night for Forgiveness starring Sadaf Asgari, Behnaz Jafari, Babak Karimi, Fereshteh Sadre Orafaiy, Forough Ghajabagli, and Arman Darvish, captured the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize for Drama at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.
Dark Star Pictures will release critically acclaimed indie auteur Mickey Reece’s award-winning and super stylish vampire feature Climate of the Hunter. The film will open in select theaters – including L.A, Philadelphia, Oklahoma, Winchester, Columbus and more – on December 18 and On Demand on January 12, 2021.

SXSW award-winning documentary Finding Yingying directed by Jiayan “Jenny” Shi will open nationwide in virtual cinema starting on December 11th. The documentary follows a Chinese family’s search to find their missing daughter in the United States.
IFC Films will release Falling For Figaro, a romantic comedy set in the fierce world of opera-singing competitions, starring BAFTA-winner Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous, Me Before You, The Wolf of Wall Street) and rising star Danielle Macdonald (Dumplin’, Patti Cake$, Skin). Directed by Ben Lewin (The Catcher Was A Spy, Please Stand By, The Sessions), the film is expected to be released in 2021.
Frederick Wiseman’s City Hall will broadcast premiere on PBS on Tuesday, December 22, 8:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. The 45th film from Wiseman, “City Hall” immerses audiences in the municipality of his hometown of Boston to illustrate a government taking care of its diverse citizens.
