Strand Releasing unveiled the trailer for ‘I’ll Be Your Mirror’, a drama film from director Bradley Rust Gray. The film previously premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival under the title ‘Blood’ where the film won the Special Jury Award for Uncompromising Artistic Vision. Carla Juri (Blade Runner 2049, Brimstone) stars as the lead role of a grieving woman who just lost her husband, traveling to Japan to find recovery.

Music Box Films unveiled the trailer for the family drama film ‘Mountains’, the feature film directorial debut from director Monica Sorelle. Set in Little Haiti, Miami, the film tells the story of a struggling immigrant family as they face the reality of ‘American dream’.

Netflix debuted the trailer for ‘Daughters’, a documentary from co-directors filmmaker Natalie Rae and activist Angela Patton. The film follows a program by organization Camp Diva that reunites incarcerated fathers with their daughters for a father-daughter dance to bond their relationships and empower their children.

Focus Features debuted the official trailer for Conclave, the psychological thriller film from Edward Berger, Academy Award winning director of ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’. ‘Conclave’ tells the story of a cardinal being tasked to run the Catholic papal conclave and select a new pope after the previous pope passed away unexpectedly.

Hammer Films released a new official trailer for the britih gothic horror film ‘Doctor Jekyll’. The film is an adaptation of one of the most famous English novella, 1886’s ‘Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde’ by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson. Eddie Izzard stars as the titular character, Dr. Nina Jekyll.

The official trailer for ‘Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision’ has been released. The documentary explores the history behind legendary American musician Jimi Hendrix’s recording studio that he commissioned back in 1968, Electric Lady Studios. The still on-going recording studio has been used by some of the biggest name in music history, including AC/DC, David Bowie, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and Stevie Wonder.

Cohen Media Group revealed the trailer and theatrical playdates for Made In England: The Films of Powell & Pressburger, a documentary looking back at the art of filmmakers Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger through the eyes of Martin Scorsese, whom narrates the documentary. The documentary features rare archival materials from the collection of Powell, Pressburger, and Scorsese.

Venice Immersive, the XR – Extended Reality section of the 81st Venice International Film Festival taking place August 28th – September 7th, 2024, will present 63 projects from 25 countries.

The 8th Annual Weengushk International Film Festival (WIFF) which took place July 11-14, 2024 on Manitoulin Island in Northern Ontario announced the award recipients. Marie Clements received two awards including Best Director and Best Screenplay for her epic film Bones of Crows; as did Cody Lightning – Best Narrative Feature Film and Best Actor for his mockumentary comedy film Hey, Viktor!.
