The 2022 Hamptons International Festival (HIFF) unveiled the full slate of films including the Closing Night presentation of the New York premiere of SR., directed by Chris Smith, and the Centerpiece screening of Sarah Polley’s Women Talking. Ahead of its World Premiere at the Zurich Film Festival, IFC Films acquired The Almond and the Seahorse, starring Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect, Jojo Rabbit, The Hustle, Bridesmaids) in her first dramatic role. The film is based on the successful theater production of the same name by award-winning playwright Kaite O’Reilly. The animated feature My Love Affair With Marriage by Latvian-born and Brooklyn-based Signe Baumane will open the 5th New York Baltic Film Festival (NYBFF) presented by Scandinavia House: The Nordic Center in America. The festival runs November 2-13, 2022 as a hybrid festival screening new and critically-acclaimed Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian films in-person in NYC November 2-6 and virtually November 4-13.
