Toronto International Film Festival unveiled the 10 feature films that comprise the 2022 Platform program that champions bold directorial visions. The German film Contra directed by Sönke Wortmann took the Audience Award Best Feature, and Nicole Rodenburg’s Glob Lessons won the Spirit of Independent Filmmaking Award.

The virtual reality production Gumball Dreams from the award-winning VR production company Ferryman Collective and Screaming Color, will make its international premiere as an Official Selection of the 79th Venice International Film Festival. Directed by Deirdre V. Lyons, Gumball Dreams won the SXSW Audience Award XR Experience Competition.

Hillary Rodham Clinton and Chelsea Clinton will showcase their new Apple documentary series Gutsy, based on The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience as part of Toronto International Film Festival’s Industry Conference Visionaries program.
