MTV released the new trailer for Sabaya, the riveting documentary follows Mahmud, Ziyad and their group, armed with just a mobile phone and a gun, risk their lives trying to save Yazidi women and girls being held by ISIS as Sabaya (sex slaves) in the most dangerous camp in the Middle East, Al-Hol in Syria. IFC Films will release Peter Strickland’s latest film, Flux Gourmet which recently wrapped production. IFC Films previously collaborated with Strickland on his explosive English-language debut Berberian Sound Studio (2012) and follow-up feature The Duke of Burgundy (2014), which both earned critical acclaim upon release and have subsequently garnered a fiercely loyal cult following leading up to his most recent film In Fabric (2018).

Dominik Moll’s Only the Animals won the ARRI/Osram Award in the CineMasters competition at the 38th Filmfest München (Munich International Film Festival), while the CineVision Award for best international film by an emerging director went to Philippe Lacôte for Night of the Kings, a co-production from Côte d’Ivoire, France, Canada, and Senegal. The FIPRESCI Prize for the best film in the New German Cinema section went to Monday um zehn by Mareille Klein; and the Audience Award went to Trans – I Got Life by Imogen Kimmel and Doris Metz.
