The 34th edition of AFI FEST will open with the World Premiere of I’m Your Woman, directed by Julia Hart. The 1970s set crime drama follows a woman who is forced to go on the run after her husband betrays his partners, sending her and her baby on a dangerous journey. The film stars Golden Globe® and Emmy® winner Rachel Brosnahan, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Arinzé Kene, James McMenamin, Marceline Hugot, Frankie Faison and Bill Heck.

The Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) will open this year’s 33rd edition on October 31 with Underdog, directed by Masaharu Take, and Hokusai, directed by Hajime Hashimoto and starring Yuya Yagira and Min Tanaka, will close the festival on November 9.

Filmmaker Frederick Wiseman released the new trailer for his latest film, the documentary City Hall that looks at Boston’s city government, covering racial justice, housing, climate action, and more. The film, as with all Wiseman’s films, is long, clocking in at over 4 and 1/2 hours. City Hall had its world premiere at Venice Film Festival, followed by North American Premiere at Toronto International Film Festival, then US Premiere at New York Film Festival; and will be released in November, 2020.
