Winners of 43rd Hong Kong International Film Festival Awards Wang Lina’s A First Farewell and Ivan Salatić’s You Have the Night are the big winners at the Firebird Awards of the 43rd Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF43). A First Farewell won the first-ever Young Cinema Competition (Chinese Language) Firebird Award, and You Have the Night took home the prestigious award in the Young Cinema Competition (World).

A Colony (Une colonie) by Geneviève Dulude De Celles A Colony (Une colonie) by Geneviève Dulude-De Celles of Canada was awarded the Crystal Bear for the Best Film in Generation Kplus by the Children’s Jury at the 2019 Berlin International Film Festival. The Grand Prix of the Generation Kplus International Jury for the Best Feature Film went to A First Farewell (Di yi ci de li bie) by Wang Lina, People’s Republic of China.
