Colman Domingo will receive the prestigious Montecito Award at the 40th annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival for his “powerhouse performance” in Greg Kwedar’s Sing Sing as Divine G. This announcement follows Domingo’s win at last night’s Gotham Awards, where he took home the honor for Outstanding Lead Performance.
New films directed by Pedro Almodóvar and Academy Award winner Regina King have been added to the lineup in Out of Competition of the 77th Venice International Film Festival scheduled to take place from September 2 to 12 2020.

The Alliance of Women Film Journalists today announced the winners of the 2018 AWFJ EDA Awards in 25 categories. “Green Book,” pulled one of many surprises at the 76th Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, winning three awards, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for Mahershala Ali. In probably the biggest upset of the night, “Bohemian Rhapsody” was named Best Motion Picture – Drama, along with Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for Rami Malek.
The National Society of Film Critics which is made up of 60 of the country’s most prominent movie critics, held its 53rd annual awards voting on Saturday, January 5th, 2019, and chose THE RIDER as Best Picture of the Year 2018.
