Quentin Tarantino’s 1969 period piece “Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood,” Martin Scorsese’s epic gangster film “The Irishman” and Noah Baumbach’s intimate portrait of divorce “Marriage Story” lead the nominations for St. Louis Film Critics Association’s 2019 awards.

Nominees for the 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® for outstanding individual, cast and ensemble performances in film and television of 2019 were announced this morning at the Pacific Design Center’s SilverScreen Theater in West Hollywood. Marriage Story scored Best Actor nominations for Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson along with Supporting Actor nomination for Laura Dern; while the cast of Parasite were nominated along with JoJo Rabbit, The Irishman and more for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Marriage Story leads the nominations for the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards with 7 nominations including Best Motion Picture Drama, Best Actress for Scarlett Johansson, Best Actor for Adam Driver and Best Supporting Actress for Laura Dern.

“The Irishman” leads all films this year with 14 nominations for 25th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards including Best Picture, Robert De Niro for Best Actor, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci for Best Supporting Actor, Martin Scorsese for Best Director, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Editing, Best Costume Design, Best Hair and Makeup, Best Visual Effects, and Best Score.

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon in Hollywood tops the nominations list for the 3rd Annual Hollywood Critic Awards (previously known as The Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society) with a total of eleven nominations, while Netflix’s The Irishman and A24’s Waves each earn nine. Lulu Wang’s The Farewell, which premiered at Sundance back in January, scored a total of seven nominations. Todd Phillips’ controversial Joker received quite a bit of love from the members of the HCA with a total of seven nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Joaquin Phoenix. Noah Baumbach’s widely praised Marriage Story received six nominations, including Best Actor for Adam Driver and Best Actress for Scarlett Johansson.

Joker directed by Todd Phillips won the Golden Lion for Best Film at the 2019 Venice International Film Festival, with the Silver Lion – Grand Jury Prize going to J’Accuse (An Officer and a Spy) by Roman Polanski.
