
The 9th Annual Napa Valley Film Festival (NVFF) announced this year’s juried and audience award winners. The Jury Award for Best Narrative Feature went to Lucky Grandma and for Best Documentary Feature went to The Remix: Hip Hop in Fashion.

Noah Baumbach’s critically-acclaimed relationship drama Marriage Story starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson, was named the Best Feature Film of 2019 at the Twin Cities Film Fest.

Princess of the Row was named Best Narrative Feature and Fire on the Hill took home Best Documentary Feature at the 8th Annual Portland Film Festival. Princess of the Row is director Max Carlson’s inspiring tale of a runaway foster child who will stop at nothing to get back to the only family she knows: her homeless, mentally ill veteran father who lives on the streets of LA’s skid row.

The Napa Valley Film Festival returns this fall with its five-day festival showcasing the year’s best new independent films from November 13 to 17, 2019.

The 22nd edition of the fiercely independent film festival, Dances With Films (DWF) concluded with the awards ceremony at the TCL Chinese 6 Theaters and awarded the Grand Jury Award to Gutterbug directed by Andrew Gibson. The Audience Awards went to Wade In The Water directed by Mark Wilson for feature film and to The Earthing Movie directed by Josh and Rebecca Tickell for feature documentary film.

Last Call, a real-time split-screen feature film shot in two true single takes with an original musical score also recorded live to picture, will have its West Coast premiere at Dances with Films at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Tuesday, June 18th at 7:15pm. The film is directed by Gavin Michael Booth (The Scarehouse), written by Gavin Michael Booth and Daved Wilkins (“The Mindy Project”), and starring Sarah Booth (“Law & Order: SVU”) and Daved Wilkins.

The “vibrantly” independent film festival Dances With Films announced its 2019 lineup of narrative and documentary features and short films for its 22nd annual edition.
