Quo Vadis, Aida? by Jasmila Žbanić has been voted the winner of the second LUX Audience Award.

The 18th Bosnian-Herzegovinian Film Festival (BHFF), running from Wednesday, April 20th through Sunday, April 24th in-person at the SVA Theatre in New York City and online, announced the lineup of 10 films with an additional 4 films being shown online.

The European Film Academy announced the nominations for the 34th European Film Awards with Quo Vadis, Aida?, The Father and Titane leading with multiple nominations including for European Director 2021 and European Film 2021. Also nominated for Best European Film 2021 are Compartment No. 6 and The Hand of God. The winners will be presented during the awards ceremony on December 11, in Berlin.

The Balkan war drama Quo Vadis, Aida?, directed by Jasmila Žbanić, representing Bosnia and Herzegovina’s official submission shortlisted for this year’s Academy Awards earned the top prize, the $25,000 Knight MARIMBAS Award at the 2021 Miami Film Festival.

Super LTD, the boutique label from NEON, will release Jasmila Žbanić’s Quo Vadis, Aida?, starring Jasna Djuricic which made its World Premiere to critical acclaim at the Venice Film Festival, where it received three Awards including the Brian Award, Signis Award and Premio Unimed. The film, which is Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Official Entry for the Academy Awards® and was recently shortlisted, went on to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best International Feature.

The 57th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in Antalya, Turkey awarded the Golden Orange’s Best Film in the National Competition to Ghosts (Hayaletler), directed by Azra Deniz Okyay and Best Film in the International Competition to Quo Vadis, Aida?, directed by Jasmila Žbanić.
