Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance won Best Picture at the 2024 Seattle Film Critics Society Awards. The film stars Demi Moore along with Margaret Qualley who won for Best Supporting Actress.

The Substance was the big winner of the 2024 Indiana Film Journalists Association (IFJA) awards, receiving a whopping six wins including Best Film, Best Director for Coralie Fargeat, Lead performance for Demi Moore and Supporting performance for Margaret Qualley.

Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist was awarded Best Picture at the Phoenix Film Critics Society’s 2024 awards, however, while Conclave dominated with five wins including Best Director for Edward Berger, Best Actor for Ralph Fiennes and Best Ensemble Acting.

The Brutalist was awarded the honor of Best Picture of 2024 by the Phoenix Critics Circle along with Best Director for Brady Corbet, Best Actor for Adrien Brody, and Best Score.

Edward Berger’s Conclave lead the 9 nominations for the 2024 Alliance of Women Film Journalists (AWFJ), with 9, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress for Isabella Rossellini, Best Actor fot Ralph Fiennes, Best Supporting Actor for Stanley Tucci, and Best Ensemble Cast .

The Chicago Film Critics Association awarded Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist the top honor of Best Picture of the year. Nickel Boys, however, received the most honors, with four total wins including Best Director along with Breakthrough Filmmaker Award for RaMell Ross, Best Best Adapted Screenplay for Ross with Joslyn Barnes, and Best Cinematography.

Following its 7 Golden Globe nominations including Best Picture and Best Actor for Adrien Brody, Brady Corbet’s historical epic The Brutalist unveiled its new trailer ahead of its release this December. The film follows a visionary Hungarian-Jewish architect and his family as he moves to America to rebuild his life after escaping post-war Europe.
