Sidewalk Film Festival announced the complete film lineup of official selections for the 22nd edition of the Birmingham-based film festival which will take place August 24-30. All 163 films (41 features, 122 shorts) and 23 music videos, will be screened at The Grand River Drive-In at The Backyard in Leeds.
The Burnt Orange Heresy, the fifth screen adaptation of the works of late Miami noir novelist Charles Willeford, starring Mick Jagger, Donald Sutherland, Elizabeth Debicki and Claes Bang, will open the 37th edition of Miami Dade College (MDC)’s acclaimed Miami Film Festival, on Friday, March 6 at downtown Miami’s historic Olympia Theater.

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival announced the lineup of over 200 movies including 47 world premieres and 71 U.S. premieres, for its 35th edition, which will take place from January 15 to 25, 2020. Kicking off the festival is opening night film – the U.S. premiere of Shelly Love’s A Bump Along the Way, a female-led, feel-good comedy drama set in Derry, Northern Ireland, about a middle-aged woman whose unexpected pregnancy after a one-night stand acts as the catalyst for her to finally take control of her life.
Joker directed by Todd Phillips won the Golden Lion for Best Film at the 2019 Venice International Film Festival, with the Silver Lion – Grand Jury Prize going to J’Accuse (An Officer and a Spy) by Roman Polanski.
Donald Sutherland will be honored with the Donostia Award at the 67th edition of the San Sebastian Festival, recognizing his more than fifty years of acting career. Sutherland will will receive the accolade prior to the screening of The Burnt Orange Heresy, a thriller directed by Giuseppe Capotondi. The film, with a cast featuring Mick Jagger, Claes Bang and Elizabeth Debicki will close the upcoming 2019 Venice Film Festival.

The Burnt Orange Heresy starring Claes Bang, Elizabeth Debicki, Mick Jagger and Donald Sutherland will be screened on Saturday, September 7th in the Sala Grande of thePalazzo del Cinema at the Lido di Venezia; the screening will be held after the awards ceremony.
