IFC Films released the official US trailer for The Truth (La vérité) the latest film from Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Kore-eda (Shoplifters) that world premiered at the 2019 Venice Film Festival. The film starring Catherine Deneuve, Juliette Binoche, Ethan Hawke, Ludivine Sagnier, and Roger Van Hool, will open in select US theaters on March 20th, 2020

The 28th Whitaker St. Louis International Film Festival (SLIFF) will screen 389 films representing 63 countries, from November 7 to 17. The festival will kick off on Thursday, November 7, with the local premiere of the much-lauded “Marriage Story,” starring Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver, and directed by Noah Baumbach.

The Asian Filmmaker of the Year is presented annually to a notable film professional or organization that has shown outstanding contributions to developing the Asian film industry and culture.

Miami Film Festival GEMS returns October 10 to 13th, 2019, with Pedro Almodóvar’s Pain and Glory starring Antonio Banderas and Penélope Cruz opening the Festival, and Brazilian filmmaker Fernando Meirelles’ The Two Popes starring Anthony Hopkins and Jonathan Pryce selected as Centerpiece.
