The acclaimed documentary Freddie Mercury: The Final Act from BBC, tells the story of how the legendary Queen frontman’s friends mounted an epic tribute concert in his honor to raise awareness and fight shame around HIV/AIDS. The film makes its U.S. premiere Wednesday, April 20 (8:00-10:00 ET/PT) on the 30th anniversary of the landmark concert. An extended cut of the special featuring additional footage will be available to stream on The CW App and cwtv.com the next day.

Quiver Distribution will release Mayim Bialik’s directorial debut feature, As They Made Us, on April 8 in theaters and on all Video-on-Demand platforms. Starring Dianna Agron and Simon Helberg, with Candice Bergen and Dustin Hoffman, the project was written and directed by “The Big Bang Theory” star Mayim Bialik. Additional cast includes Justin Chu Cary, Charlie Weber, and Julian Gant.

Vertical Entertainment will release Measure of Revenge, a psychological thriller that marks an international directorial debut by Malaysian director Peyfa about an actress whose famous son dies suddenly from a supposed overdose, causing her to conduct her own investigation with the help of a drug dealer in pursuit of answers, justice, and revenge by any means necessary. Vertical is planning a day-and-date release on March 18, 2022.
