Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman will make its World Premiere as the Opening Night film of the 57th New York Film Festival (September 27 – October 13), at Alice Tully Hall on Friday, September 27, 2019. The Irishman will be released in select theaters and on Netflix later this year.
Halston, the documentary about the legendary design and lifestyle icon, from director Frédéric Tcheng (‘Dior and I’), which world premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, will premiere on CNN on Sunday, August 18 at 9:00pm Eastern and Pacific on CNN. Halston will encore on CNN on Saturday, August 24 at 9:00pm Eastern.
Chuskit, directed by Priya Ramasubban, won the Grand Prize at the 24th annual Stony Brook Film Festival. “When the jury and the audience rank the same film the highest then it receives a Grand Prize,” says Alan Inkles, Festival Director. This is the second year in a row and the ninth time in the Festival’s 24-year-run that a film has received a Grand Prize.

Mexican director, producer and screenwriter Alejandro G. Iñárritu and winner of two consecutive Best Director Oscar awards for his films THE REVENANT and BIRDMAN will receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award at the 25th annual Sarajevo Film Festival.
