The Honey Trap is a true crime documentary from Emmy-nominated filmmaker Chris Mourkarbel that follows the bizarre love story between former Berlin rapper turned ISIS member Denis Cuspert and an FBI translator who went rogue to marry Cuspert.

Synopsis

The documentary feature, directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Chris Moukarbel (Banksy Does New York, Gaga: Five Foot Two), is a dramatic tale of espionage, propaganda, and romance, following the infamous Berlin rapper Denis Cuspert aka Deso Dogg and his journey from artist to MMA fighter to ISIS recruiter. When the FBI assigns a translator to monitor Cuspert, her quest to get close to him takes over her life. Through their complex relationship, The Honey Trap reveals the powers that shape our world and what happens to those who step into the crossfire.
