Dante, the new thriller from director Hugo Ruiz, has released the international trailer ahead of its world premiere at the 25th Tribeca Festival.
Starring in the movie are Chino Darín, Ester Expósito, and Vicente Romero, with a special appearance by Asier Etxeandia. The newly released trailer teases a nocturnal thriller set primarily in an ambulance and the city streets surrounding it.
The film will premiere on June 7th at 9:15 p.m., followed by screenings on June 8th and June 12th.

Dante follows Eduardo, an emergency medical technician working the night shift in an ambulance. He responds to an emergency call from Mario in critical condition. When Eduardo arrives, Mario is on the brink of dying, forcing Eduardo into a dangerous spiral tied to Mario’s criminal underworld connections.
“With Dante, we built a universe of our own and pushed many aspects of the film to the limit,” director Hugo Ruiz says. “I want audiences to encounter a solid, immersive film and, when they leave the theater, to feel they have genuinely enjoyed the journey the film takes them on.”
He added, “The cast was essential throughout the entire process. It was a very organic collaboration in which each actor contributed enormously to the construction of their character, and that level of commitment is visible in every scene. I had a very clear idea of what I wanted to achieve, and I was fortunate to work with an extraordinary team that not only brought that vision to life but pushed it even further. I want audiences to encounter a solid, immersive film and, when they leave the theater, to feel they have genuinely enjoyed the journey the film takes them on.”
Hugo Ruiz previously won the Best New Narrative Director Award at the 2023 Tribeca Festival for his debut feature One Night with Adela. Patricia González of El Sueño Eterno Pictures says, “For us, it is a privilege to support the talent of Hugo Ruiz. We have followed his work since One Night with Adela, and from the very beginning, we recognized in him a unique voice and a highly distinctive perspective. Dante confirms that instinct and expands his cinematic universe with a new level of ambition and maturity. Its selection at the Tribeca Festival – where Hugo received his first major international recognition – is incredibly meaningful for us. We believe this world premiere will strengthen the film’s journey and give it the international visibility it deserves.”
