Daniella Kertesz, known for starring opposite Brad Pitt in World War Z, stars in 10 Kilos, a crime thriller inspired by the true story of Sharon Yitzhaki, directed by Doron Eran.
Kertesz plays Sharon, a vulnerable young traveler trapped thousands of miles from home into a woman capable of navigating the dangerous world around her.

Based on a shocking true story, 10 Kilos follows Sharon, a young woman arrested in Bolivia after being caught with ten kilos of cocaine and sent into the infamous Miraflores prison — a brutal world where inmates rule, and survival depends on instinct, alliances, and control. As Sharon navigates cartel politics, violence, and shifting loyalties, she must find the strength to survive a system designed to break her.
Also starring in the film are Maya Eshet (Teen Wolf, Fear the Walking Dead), Leeoz Levy, Luna Mansour (Fauda), Tom Graziani, Juan Pablo Olyslager, Juan Diego Rodriguez, Eyal Rozales and Paola Tirado.
Described as part prison drama, part cartel thriller, the film opens theatrically in New York on August 21 at Village East by Angelika, followed by Los Angeles at Lumiere Cinema beginning August 28 and Laemmle theaters in Glendale, Santa Monica and Encino beginning September 4, with additional U.S. cities and theaters to follow.
Director Doron Eran said, “What fascinated me about Sharon’s story was never simply the crime or the prison. It was what happened to a young woman when every rule of the world she knew disappeared. Sharon had to become someone else to survive. 10 Kilos is about that transformation and the price of surviving it.”
