Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Woodstock Film Festival will kick off on opening night with Men of War by Billy Corben and Jen Gatien, Blitz directed by Oscar-winning director Steve McQueen will screen as centerpiece film, and A Real Pain directed by Jesse Eisenberg as closing night film.

Running from October 15–20, 2024, the festival will take place across Hudson Valley towns including Woodstock, Rosendale, Kingston, and Saugerties.

This year’s Honorary Maverick Award will be awarded to acclaimed writer and director Paul Schrader. The award will be presented by acclaimed actor Amanda Seyfried who worked with Schrader on First Reformed.

The Honorary Trailblazer Award will be awarded to renowned producer Ira Deutchman. Deutchman’s latest projects include feature documentary Searching for Mr. Rugoff, Nickel & Dimed and Radio Girls.

Filmmakers and human rights activists Pamela Yates and Paco de Onís will be honored with the inaugural Art of Activism Award. Yates and de Onís are renowned for their Guatemala trilogy, which includes When The Mountains Tremble, Granito: How To Nail A Dictator and 500 Years. The documentary, BORDERLAND | The Line Within, directed by Yates and produced by de Onis, is screening at this year’s festival and investigates the costly border industrial complex that targets immigrants.
