Here is the first look at Evan Jonigkeit, Chris Bauer, Dominic Hoffman and Shia LaBeouf starring in David Mamet’s new feature film Henry Johnson.

Starting Friday May 9th, the film opens at the Aero Theatre in Los Angeles.

Written and directed by Pulitzer Prize winner David Mamet, Henry Johnson follows the title character (Jonigkeit) as he navigates his search for a moral center, after an act of compassion upends his life. Looking to authority figures he encounters along the way — including his eventual cellmate, Gene (LaBeouf) — Henry’s journey leads him down a road of manipulation and ethical uncertainty. The film is an exploration of power, justice and the consequences of letting others choose your path for you.

Teri Polo Stars in ‘Relative Control’ A Cinematic Look at Being Stuck in the Middle of the Sandwich Generation

A middle-aged, type-A attorney’s life spirals as she juggles her handful of an ex-cop father, forgetful mother, unemployed son, a reignited romance, and a hostile takeover in the biggest corporate control battle of her career in the indie film Relative Control directed by Dafna Yachin.

Relative Control stars Teri Polo (Meet the Parents trilogy, the Fosters, Good Trouble, The Big Leap) who shines as a middle-aged, type-A attorney whose perfectly ordered life spirals hilariously out of control. The film also stars Patrick F. McDade (Mare of Easttown, Concrete Cowboy, Paterno), and Brian Anthony Wilson (Limitless, Law Abiding Citizen, The Wire).

The film won the Blue Hen Award for Best Regional Narrative at the 2024 Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival and also screened at the 2025 Sedona International Film Festival. Gravitas Ventures will release Relative Control on digital platforms on April 11, 2025.

Families Confront the Unique Challenges of Alzheimer’s in PBS Documentary ‘Matter of Mind: My Alzheimer’s’

Matter of Mind: My Alzheimer’s is an intimate portrayal of three families confronting the unique challenges of Alzheimer’s and how this progressive neurodegenerative disease transforms roles and relationships. Whether it’s a partner caring for a loved one or an adult child shifting into being their parent’s caregiver, these stories show how families evolve when a loved one is diagnosed.

Directed by Anna Moot-Levin and Laura Green

The final documentary in a three-part series focusing on neurodegenerative diseases, “Matter of Mind: My Alzheimer’s” will premiere on May 5, 2025, on Independent Lens.

From award-winning co- directors Anna Moot-Levin and Laura Green (“The Providers”), the intimate documentary presents three poignant stories about how family dynamics change when a loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Nearly 7 million people in the United States are living with Alzheimer’s disease, and family and friends of those living with dementia provide 18 billion hours of unpaid care each year. “Matter of Mind: My Alzheimer’s” follows three families and the unique challenges of their loved ones’ diagnoses, delving into their lived experiences. Going beyond the statistics, the film explores how this disease impacts identities and roles in relationships—when one partner becomes a caregiver or how both parent and child are transformed when the traditional role of provider is reversed.
