
The first film by an Iranian-Armenian female filmmaker, Yeva An Armenian Story directed by Anahid Abad will open in theaters in NY on October 25 and in LA on November 1.

The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) announced the 2019 honorees to be recognized at the 22nd annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival, taking place October 26 to November 2, 2019.

Film Independent announced the producers selected for its 19th annual Producing Lab. This intensive program is designed to help creative, independent producers develop their skills and further their careers by introducing Fellows to film professionals who can advise them on both the craft and business of independent producing. Each Producing Lab Fellow will be paired with an experienced Creative Advisor with whom they’ll work to develop their project over the course of the program.

Three more Irish premiere Galas have been added to the 64th Cork Film Festival, which runs from November 7 to 17. The Irish premiere of Feras Fayyad’s gripping film on war-torn Syria The Cave will be featured as the Documentary Gala, the Irish Gala is Aoife Crehan’s comedy-drama debut The Last Right, and the Family Gala is Disney’s long-awaited Frozen 2, ahead of its general release. This brings to five the number of Galas at this year’s festival, with Opening Gala Ordinary Love and Closing Gala The Other Lamb.

The Wolf Hour directed by Alistair Banks Griffin, and starring Naomi Watts, along with Emory Cohen, Jennifer Ehle, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Jeremy Bobb, Brennan Brown, will open in theaters on December 6.
