The comedy-drama “The Bet” from writer/director Joan Carr-Wiggin (“If I Were You,” “Happily Ever After”) starring Natasha Little (“The Night Manager,” “Thirteen”), Douglas Hodge (“The Report,” “Black Mirror”), and Colin Salmon (“Limitless,” “Die Another Day”) is being released this week in the U.S. by Gravitas, and by Signature Entertainment in the U.K. on March 16, 2020.

Films nominated for Original Screenplay include Booksmart, Knives Out, Marriage Story, and Parasite. Films nominated for Documentary Screenplay include Citizen K, Foster, The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley, Joseph Pulitzer: Voice of the People, and The Kingmaker.

Awkwafina made history at the 2020 Golden Globes on Sunday, becoming the first woman of Asian descent to win Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for her performance in “The Farewell.”
