ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Downtown Tyler Film Festival is a celebration of storytelling through film in East Texas. The Downtown Tyler Film Festival began in 2011 with the City-opening of its home venue, Liberty Hall theatre. Our festival is focused on encouraging filmmakers from across the globe and introducing them to cinephiles of all ages and creeds.
DTFF is a laid-back and film-focused festival.
Traditionally, we host three main categories of short film: Young Filmmakers, International and Texas Shorts, with the final night of the four-day festival reserved for our Best of the Fest wrap-up.
