Kyiv International Film Festival “Molodist”, also known as the Molodist International Film Festival is an international film festival which takes place every October in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Kyiv International Film Festival is over 50 years old and its goal remains unchanged – to uncover important trends of young cinema development and to help aspiring beginner filmmakers find their way on the world cinema map. As for the new directors, it is worth mentioning a few names of filmmakers who made their debut in Kyiv throughout the history of ‘Molodist’: Tom Tykwer, Francois Ozon, Bruno Dumont, Danny Boyle, Ildiko Enyedi, Jacques Audiard, Xavier Dolan, Stephen Daldry.

2011 Kiev International Film Festival is postponed to Fall

Adrien Brody at 2nd International Film Festival[/caption]According to an update on their website, due to economic reasons, the Kiev International Film Festival in Kiev, Ukraine, which was previously planned for June 15-20, 2011, is postponed to September 20-25, 2011.
Kiev International Film Festival, which was previously planned for 15-20 June, 2011, is postponed to 20-25 September, 2011.
Due to economic crisis most of sponsors cut off their budgets, and the support from the state could not be received for this period. Festival team doesn’t want to lower the international level of the event and decided to change the dates of the festival to have the chance to receive the state support in the next period.
