    Sundance Institute announced the members of the six juries awarding prizes for artistic and cinematic achievement at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. Also announced was the jury for the Alfred P. Sloan Film Prize.The Festival takes place January 20-30 via our enhanced online platform at Festival.Sundance.org and in person at seven Satellite Screens venues around the country during the Festival’s second weekend.

    International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) revealed the 14 films selected for the festival’s Tiger Competition, as well as the Big Screen Competition and Ammodo Tiger Short Competition selections. The festival also announced the IFFR 2022 Selection available to audiences in the Netherlands on IFFR.com from January 26 to February 6, 2022. The program includes titles in Harbour, Limelight, Bright Future and Cinema Regained.

Screenings will be shown via Eventive and exclusive Q+A’s will be hosted via Zoom. All Q+As will now take place at the times that in-person screenings would have been scheduled.

    Krakow Film Festival announced that Finnish documentary filmmaker Jarmo Jääskeläinen died on 2 January 2022. He was 84 years old. He was to receive the most valuable statuette Dragon of Dragons of the Krakow Film Festival in May for his contribution to global documentary cinema.
